Julia Sherman founded Salad for President as an evolving publishing project that draws a meaningful connection between food, art and everyday obsessions. Each of Sherman’s blog entries contains a salad recipe made in collaboration with an artist, musician, writer, or creative professional, living their lives artfully.  In May of 2017, Abrams Books published  Salad for President: A Cookbook Inspired by Artists based on the site.  As the Event Producer for the book tour, Rachael worked with Julia to create a series of events which served to connect guests to the ethos of the book through immersive experience and whimsical approach to familiar environments.
